Sculptures

A sculpture means to me a move from a painting towards space. It reflects elements and themes appear in my painting. To me, work on sculptures represents an opportunity for a creative game in which I may use other technological procedures.

The primary impulse may often be an accidentally found object which will, in itself, guide me towards its further possible existence. I also develop motives from my paintings. I sometimes transform old found plaster sculptures into sculptures full of colour and shine. I change their shape and function. I may use a part of a car bonnet and turn it into an object with no particular meaning, but I may also create brand new sculptures. My work often incorporates hidden humour and spontaneous playful creativity. My three-dimensional work should add another dimension to my painting and promote communication between both fields of my activity.
